About the event

Join us for a reading and reception to celebrate the publication of an anthology featuring writing from former prisoners. 48th Street Anthology: Stories from the Truly Free includes stories and poems from residents of the Francisco Homes, a transitional housing facility for men recently released after serving decades in prison. This reading will include a selection of short pieces about unlikely connections and surprising discoveries as well as the time the authors spent behind bars and the challenges of reintegrating into the community.

Co-sponsored by the USC Writing Program with support from the Good Neighbors Campaign. Organized by Professors Stephanie Bower and Emily Artiano.
