About the event
In modern society, it feels like new crises, controversies, and dilemmas plague the world every hour. Our world leaders are supposed to ensure there will be a safe world for the next generation to live in, yet they continue to work on these issues only allegedly(if they haven’t openly denied their existence). In the same flavor of this topic, the most threatening crisis of our time (according to some) is climate change. Most environmentalists and scientists fight for change to improve the condition of our planet —but why?
Why should we care about the next generation, and if we do, is it only because we are programmed to reproduce? If humanity decides to stop reproducing, living out the rest of our lives without conserving or caring what we leave behind, will we be happier? Less stressed? Is it possible that this lifestyle of planned obsolescence is already in effect?
