About the event
The Shaukat Initiative (SI) will be an entirely student-run organization inspired by a similar program in the outskirts of Lahore, Pakistan. The SI aims to provide free education to the children of USC's staff. As a part of this organization volunteers will engage with students to determine a subject matter of their interest. Volunteers will then proceed to design their own course, and teach students via Socratic method. The SI team intends to provide a variety of of options for interested students, with courses ranging from the science to humanities, performance arts, college prep, and one-on-one tutoring.
