About the event
This month's speaker is Jordan Colbert. He is an Assistive Technology Specialist with the Department of Disability Services & Programs, Student Affairs. In this role, he provides technological solutions to disability-related learning challenges. Colbert earned a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy at USC’s Rossier School of Education. He holds a B.A. in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Colbert worked with the UPenn Unit for Experimental Psychiatry and NASA to develop technologies for detecting depression in astronauts through facial recognition technology. Following his clinical work performing existential and cognitive behavioral therapy with underserved high school students, he specialized in Interpersonal Neurobiology working at the Mindsight Institute.
