About the event

ZYGO—Artificial Intelligence and Medicine:

Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic systems are becoming more commonplace tools in modern medicine, from minimizing the risk of human error in the operating room to speeding up diagnoses. In recent cases, AI has shown promise in redesigning medicine through more precise treatments and better diagnoses, generating buzz over the immense potential in improving patient care. Yet, there is controversy surrounding more integration of AI, especially in terms of personalization of patient care. Will there be negative effects on the physician-patient relationships? What about the availability of such technology in different patient populations? How will physicians’ roles changes? Join us in our exploration of medicine and machines -- where are we now, and where are we going?
